New BSP mailer campaign and a gentle reminder

Hi folks! Just a quick update to let you know that I created an e-mail campaign for the new book today. You should be seeing it in your inbox soon. I realize that people often dislike unsolicited e-mail (myself included) so I wanted to explain my intent with this campaign and why it’s important to me.

To put it simply: as a tiny press, I need all the help I can get! That means you. I do not have an agent, a marketing agency, a publicist, large social media presence or a budget to tour. This is a grassroots operation and everything I do is done in the spirit of an underground press. I run this thing by the seat of my pants and pour myself into each and everything I do here. What does that mean? It means that your support is of the highest value!

I am trying new things this time around and one of those things is an e-mail campaign. For the mailer, you either opted in here, requested to be included via social media, have purchased BSP books before, or you were a BSP contributor at some point.

The mailer is in no way intended as spam. Hopefully you don’t view it that way. All it takes to remove yourself from the list is one click. Boom, easy. That said, I am hoping that utilizing this marketing tool will help grow the business and to do that and stay afloat, I need your help. I intend to use the mailer to announce new books, new merch, sales, discounts and any major BSP news.

Word of mouth is like gold in this business and chances are if you’re reading this, you enjoy my books. I’ve been at this for ten years now and would like to do ten more. I cannot stress enough how much it helps when you share BSP things on your own network and recommend BSP books to friends/family!

Help keep one of the only fully independent, small Chicano presses in the USA alive and support your loco publisher!

Thank you! If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to be added to the mailer, don’t hesitate to contact me.

No problem! It’s tough being a one man shop, especially when it comes to technology. I appreciate the great customer service!
