Here is an exclusive ‘sneak peek’ at Josh Divine’s Ducktown – the latest title from Broken Sword Publications. BSP is thrilled to resurrect Ducktown and bring it back to life for your reading pleasure.
As you can see, these cute little ducks are in Hell. You will have to read the book to find out why. Josh’s last name is Divine…Think The Divine Comedy but with ducks.
This book has caused me to nearly spit my coffee out several times because I was laughing so hard. It takes a lot to make me do that, especially when it comes to comics. I have long had a dark sense of humor and this book is going to speak to that on many levels.
It is an honor to bring Ducktown back to the public because it is yet another title that is too raw for the mainstream. BSP prides itself on publishing books that the mainstream publishers would turn their nose up at. Their loss – this book is hilarious.
We are currently waiting for a proof copy of this book and once it’s approved, it will be available for purchase directly (here and at Amazon/B&N etc.) and also at a bookstores and comic book shops near you! Trust me, you want this book.
Not only is it the complete run of Ducktown but it has has guest strips, original sketches, fan art by artist Robert Elrod and a badass foreword by cartooning legend, Lalo Alcaraz!
Ducktown, which used to run in The Colorado Daily, is an amazing book and I cannot say enough good things about it. This is not just a collection of comics, and I realize that sounds cliche, but it’s true.
This book digs beneath the surface of the strips and for that alone, you’re going to want to see what’s revealed here. I won’t say too much but you will have to read the book to find out why this project has so much heart and soul in it.
Get ready, folks! The Ducktown-pocalypse is nearly upon us!
